Pele body buried today – fans pay tribute

Brazil’s Pele (82) is the only player to win the World Cup 3 times. He died on 29th due to cancer. Three days of mourning are observed in Brazil on his death.

Pele’s body was laid to rest at Vila Belmiro Stadium in Santos, Brazil. People are paying tribute.

After the tribute, Pele’s body was buried in the 14-story, 4.4-acre Necropolis Ecumenica Memorial Cemetery. His embalmed body will be kept in the vault here. This is the highest cemetery in the world.

No one except his family is allowed to attend the funeral here. Millions of people are expected to turn out to pay tribute to football legend Pele.
