Philadelphia to Ring in America’s 250th with 22 Liberty Bell Replicas

A vibrant public art installation celebrating America’s upcoming semiquincentennial will see 22 artistically designed replicas of the Liberty Bell strategically placed throughout Philadelphia, announced Mayor Cherelle Parker. The initiative, dubbed Bells Across Pa, aims to honor the nation’s birthday in a uniquely “Philly” fashion and will extend to all 67 counties in Pennsylvania.
A City-Wide Celebration Unveiled
The unveiling of these fiberglass bells, crafted by artists affiliated with Mural Arts, is scheduled for Friday, January 16, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the School District Warehouse. Each bell will be uniquely painted to reflect the distinct character and history of the community in which it is displayed, offering both residents and tourists a compelling visual experience throughout 2026.
“As Philadelphia’s own Liberty Bell served as inspiration for this statewide program, it makes sense that Philly would take it to the next level and bring these bells to as many neighborhoods as possible,” Mayor Parker stated. “We are a proud, diverse city of neighborhoods with many stories to tell. All Philadelphians should join me in thanking our community and artists for helping to tell these stories.”

While the broader Bells Across Pa project will see artistically decorated Liberty Bells installed across the entire Commonwealth, Philadelphia will receive a concentrated installation of 22 bells. These will be positioned in key business corridors within the following neighborhoods:
