A River Falls, Wisconsin, resident and dedicated family man, Jeffrey “Jeff” Elery Miller, 71, passed away peacefully at his home on December 19, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Miller’s life was defined by his long-standing career, his passion for outdoor pursuits, and, most importantly, the joy he found in his grandsons.

Early Life and Family Roots

born on August 7,1954,in Hudson,Wisconsin,to Edward and Janice (Solum) miller-Parents: Edward Miller,Janice Solum Miller,Chris-Sibling: Chris Miller. He completed his high school education in Menomonie, Wisconsin, in 1972.

A Lifetime of Love and Partnership

In 1976, Jeff met Barbara Anderson-Spouse: Barbara Anderson of River Falls, Wisconsin, forging a relationship that blossomed into marriage on October 1, 1982. The couple established their home in River Falls, were they welcomed their son, Matthew Miller-Child: matthew Miller, in April of 1989.The family’s bond deepened over the years, providing a strong foundation for Jeff throughout his life.

Dedicated Career at 3M

For 42 years, Jeff dedicated his professional life to 3M-Employer: 3M, in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, working as a laborer. He retired in 2012, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and hard work.His dedication to his profession provided stability and allowed him to pursue his passions outside of work.

The Joy of Grandfatherhood

The arrival of his first grandson, Hunter Miller-Grandchild: Hunter Miller, in 2014, marked a turning point in Jeff’s life. This joy was compounded by the marriage of his son, Matthew, to Brittany Iehl-Spouse of Child: brittany Iehl, in 2015, and the birth of his second grandson, ryder Miller-Grandchild: Ryder Miller, in 2016. “His grandsons brought him so much joy and excitement in the last 11 years,” a family member shared.He eagerly anticipated sharing his knowledge and skills with the next generation, looking forward to teaching them new things each year.

A Life Outdoors

Jeff embraced an active lifestyle, finding fulfillment in a variety of outdoor hobbies. He enjoyed hunting-Hobby: Hunting, fishing-Hobby: Fishing, downhill skiing-Hobby: Downhill Skiing, golf-Hobby: Golf, ATVing-Hobby: ATVing, and snowmobiling-Hobby: Snowmobiling, frequently enough sharing these experiences with family and friends. He also found great satisfaction in imparting his skills to his grandsons, fostering a love for the outdoors in them.

Remembering Jeff

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Janice, and his brother, Chris. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son, Matthew (Brittany); grandsons, Hunter and Ryder; his uncle, Jerry (Debbie) Miller-relative: Jerry Miller, Debbie Miller; sister-in-law, Jean Miller-Relative: Jean Miller; and numerous other family members. the family expressed their gratitude for the exceptional and compassionate care provided by Adoray Hospice-Healthcare Provider: Adoray Hospice.

Festivity of Life

A Celebration of Life-Event: Celebration of Life will be held on January 10, 2025, at 2 PM at St. Croix Lanes-Location: St. Croix Lanes in River Falls, Wisconsin. Jeff Miller’s legacy will live on thru the cherished memories held by his family and friends, and the values he instilled in those he loved.
