Karachi: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the situation in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region is not what the Western media is portraying. Imran was quoted as saying in an interview with a foreign media outlet. Imran Khan had earlier supported Chinese policy towards Xinjiang.
China’s human rights abuses against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang have sparked widespread protests around the world. Pakistan now relies heavily on China for economic and diplomatic support. In the wake of this, Pakistan has announced its support for Chinese incursions into Taiwan, the South China Sea, Hong Kong and Tibet.
