A modern,future-proof sporting home is now reality for TSV Hartberg,as teh newly renovated and expanded Hartberg stadium – officially named the Profertil Arena – was officially opened and blessed on Sunday,November 30,2025,ahead of the highly anticipated Styrian derby against SK Sturm Graz. The project, completed in a matter of months, ensures the club can continue to compete at the highest level of Austrian football.
A Rapid Transformation fueled by Investment
The stadium’s revitalization was made possible by a nine million euro investment pledged by the state of Styria in autumn 2024. The municipality of Hartberg, as the stadium owner, collaborated closely with TSV Hartberg to deliver the project swiftly and efficiently. The first phase, now complete, focused on achieving Bundesliga compliance, replacing temporary structures with permanent seating and upgrading the main stand.
The Profertil Arena now boasts a capacity of 5,500, comprised of 2,770 covered seats, 2,320 covered standing spaces, and 410 uncovered standing spaces. The speed of construction was remarkable, with 250 tons of steel, 12,000 screws, and 28 kilometers of cable installed within weeks.

TSV Hartberg was forced to temporarily relocate to the Bundesstadion Südstadt in Lower Austria during the renovation period. The team marked their return to their home stadium on November 22nd, 2025, with a Bundesliga match against SV Ried. The official opening ceremony, coinciding with the Styrian derby against reigning champions Sturm Graz, served as a celebratory milestone for the club and the community.
