Haley Pullos Faces Court Review in Felony DUI Case Stemming from 2023 Freeway Crash
A status conference is scheduled for Thursday morning as former “General Hospital” actress Haley Pullos continues to navigate the legal aftermath of a devastating 2023 DUI crash. The hearing, set for 8:30 a.m. in Department D at Pasadena Courthouse, will allow the court to monitor Pullos’s compliance with her five-year probation.
Pullos, 26, pleaded no contest to one felony count of driving under the influence (DUI) causing injury in April 2024, receiving a three-month jail sentence as part of her sentencing. Status conferences are standard procedure, ensuring adherence to probation terms which include community service, participation in alcohol treatment programs, and fulfillment of restitution payments.
The incident occurred on April 29, 2023, shortly before 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the 134 Freeway near Orange Grove Boulevard. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that Pullos was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes when her vehicle collided head-on with another car. Both drivers sustained major injuries requiring hospitalization.
First responders from the Pasadena Fire Department utilized hydraulic rescue tools to extricate Pullos from her vehicle. Subsequent investigation revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.25 percent – more than three times the legal limit. Authorities also discovered evidence of marijuana edibles and alcohol within the vehicle. Prior to the freeway collision, the CHP documented Pullos’s involvement in a separate hit-and-run collision within Pasadena.
Initially charged with two felony counts of DUI and one misdemeanor count of hit-and-run by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Pullos reached a plea agreement. She ultimately pleaded no contest to a single felony count of DUI causing injury, with the remaining charges dismissed.
In July 2024, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Terry Smerling sentenced Pullos to five years of probation, 200 hours of community service, a nine-month alcohol treatment program, and a mental health treatment program. She was also ordered to pay $8,260 in restitution to the other driver and was prohibited from driving for one year. During the sentencing, Judge Smerling issued a stark warning: any future DUI crash resulting in a fatality would be prosecuted as murder.
The other driver involved, Courteney Wilder, initially faced critical injuries. She subsequently filed a civil lawsuit against Pullos seeking damages. In October 2025, Wilder reached a settlement exceeding $1 million with No Comment Lounge, a Pasadena establishment where Pullos had reportedly been employed. However, Pullos remains a defendant in the ongoing civil lawsuit.
Pullos is known for her role as Molly Lansing-Davis on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital,” a character she portrayed from 2009 until 2023. The role has since been recast.
The Thursday hearing will take place at the Pasadena Courthouse, located at 300 E. Walnut St.
