A new association, L’Étoile de Philippe, created in Dieppe earlier this January, aims to provide crucial moral support to families affected by illness by offering respite care through trained volunteers. To kickstart their efforts, the association is hosting a Valentine’s Day evening this Saturday, February 14, in Gruchet-Saint-Siméon. The event features a dinner followed by a performance of Maxime Fournerie’s new song and dance show, all to raise funds for caregivers and families in need. The open house will feature air rockets and micro-rockets, aerodynamic experiments, displays of meteorites and impact craters, explorations of Earth, the Moon, and Mars, and a look at the history of aviation. It’s a chance to engage with enthusiasts, ask questions, and enjoy an educational experience with family and friends.

The open house takes place Saturday, February 14 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lorraine building, rue Jacques-Émile-Blanche in Dieppe. Admission is free.

On Sunday, February 15 at 8 p.m., the Dieppe company Jehan Ango will present Who is the boss? at the Baillard-du-Lys room in Tourville-la-Chapelle. This one-and-a-half-hour play, written by Guy Foissy, uses humor and absurd situations to examine human flaws like selfishness, manipulation, and the pursuit of power.

The Museum of the History of Daily Life, in Saint-Martin-en-Campagne, inaugurated its new temporary exhibition, “All connected!” From radio to smartphone: history of telecommunications, this Friday, February 13. The exhibition offers an immersive journey through a century of innovations that have transformed daily life, showcasing radios, telephones, televisions, and computers through four thematic spaces, complete with historical objects and documents.

The exhibition is open Tuesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission prices range from 5 euros to free.
