A Straight Woman and a Gay Man Find Love, Start a Family, and Redefine Modern Relationships
Samantha Wynn Greenstone and Jacob Hoff are challenging conventional notions of love and family. The couple, who identify as a straight woman and a gay man respectively, have welcomed a son into the world, proving that deep connection and intimacy can transcend sexual orientation.

The couple famously conceived their child naturally, as Jacob Hoff shared with the Daily Mail, “We did it the old-fashioned birds and the bees way.” Samantha echoed this sentiment,adding,”I would say we made love and it was lovely.”
The pair welcomed their baby boy in december, with Samantha candidly sharing the experience with her followers: “Labor was gorgeous/scary/painful, but overall the best adventure.” In a refreshingly honest post,she detailed the realities of childbirth,writing,”I ate 27395 Luigi Italian Ices and had my taint sliced open,but I would do it all again to get to be this boy’s mommy.”
Speaking to PEOPLE, the couple announced the arrival of their son, whom they are publicly referring to as “Baby Wynn Hoff” to protect his privacy. Their son’s arrival coincided with their one-year wedding anniversary, making the occasion even more special. The newborn weighed 7 lbs 15 oz and measured 18.5 inches long.
Jacob, 32, and Samantha, 38, first showcased Samantha’s baby bump at a premiere in October 2025. Their story began nine years ago on a theater production, where a close friendship quickly blossomed.
As their bond deepened,the relationship naturally evolved. “We both had it sitting inside, but didn’t quite no how to acknowledge it or place it, and there was a lot of fear of acknowledging it and shifting the tides,” Jacob previously told Mamamia. It took 18 months for Samantha to find the courage to express her feelings, ultimately seeking guidance from an energy healer.
According to Samantha, the healer asked, “Are you in a relationship with anyone?” and upon learning she wasn’t, observed, “where yoru hand is right now is where your stomach is, and it’s where the umbilical cord attaches. What I’m picking up is that you guys share a spiritual umbilical cord.” This insight prompted Samantha to reach out to jacob, and as she put it, “the rest is history!”
The couple married in November 2024 and continue to share their life, including their active sex life, with their online community. Addressing the frequent question of how a gay man can marry a woman, Jacob explained in a video, “Samantha is the person that I’m connected to spiritually.”
He elaborated, “She’s my soulmate, my partner, the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, and that oftentimes transcends just plain old sexuality. And we are attracted to each other. We’re intimate. It just is on a different level.” He described their connection as a “soulmate connection,” envisioning a love that endures through the challenges of life, “when you’re 90 years old…you still look at them with love and compassion and devotion.”
“So if you want to know why,it’s as basically we’re in love and it’s that simple,” Jacob concluded.
